About

Zach Mitchel, PT, DPT, CSCS, SFMA-Lvl2 is one of our physical therapists at Peake Physical Therapy, Baltimore, MD. Zach is a lifelong, multi-sport athlete. He received his doctorate of Physical Therapy from Saint Francis University and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Zach enjoys integrating his experience as a CSCS into his PT treatments to help get athletes and members of the general population alike back to what they love, and performing even better than before.

Zach is also a strength and conditioning coach for Loyola University Maryland Men’s Lacrosse team and a performance coach for adolescent and adult athletes. He is excited to continue his education with a fellowship in manual therapy, dry needling and, pain science.

If you could choose only one meal to eat for the rest of your life, what will it be?

Either chipotle or a burger.

Favorite vacation spot?

There are two places that I love, the beach and the mountains.

What is your favorite training exercise?

Murph: 1 mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, 1 mile run

What do you love most about being a physical therapist?

I love helping people return to what they love to do. I am fortunate to have the ability to help motivated people get back moving better and feeling better.

If you had to live in another state, where would you live?

I love Maryland, but I would probably love California too.

If you weren’t a physical therapist, what would be your dream job?

My dream job when I was younger was to be a Navy Seal. Now, maybe a professional athlete of some kind.
